HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) wants to end the senseless death of children under age 5. That can be done if we speak out through the media, writing letters, emails and contacting social networks.
We have vaccines available and the call is coming from people in India and Ethiopia, who recently hosted a "call to action" to end child deaths within our generation.
The United States' first step would be to preserve funding already promised for Global Child Health, which can save lives with less than 1 percent of our federal budget.
There are more than 10 countries inspired to focus on this goal. HOPE should be a slogan for us all. Read and get involved today at www.results.org. Twenty thousand children dying daily is not right.
