Harris’ ‘out of sync’ replies reveal lack of experience

Re: “Skelton: Kamala Harris’ campaign rollout a very big success” (Opinion section, Feb 1):

George Skelton’s assessment of Kamala Harris’ answer being “out of sync” was right on.

As a frequent letter-writer to her, asking for support on bills addressing global poverty issues such as education for girls worldwide, I have also received “out of sync” replies. All of them were form letters addressing her support for U.S. education.

I care deeply about ending poverty. My family comes from China and Vietnam. They braved the tumultuous Vietnam War, where poverty and hunger were widespread, before coming to America.

I am glad she supports education in this country, however, she seems to know nothing about global issues. Perhaps she needs to spend some time in her D.C. office and learnhow to govern as a U.S. senator before she attemps to put herself on the world stage as president of the United States.

She has plenty of time in her life for that. What has she actually accomplished as a senator? She seems to be using her office as a platform for her ambitions.
